Let's be honest. If you are shopping at asda you are not looking for waitrose or M&S qualities, so I won't comment on that. Prices are also standard so no point commenting.
With that in mind... This asda is conveniently located next to crossharbour DLr station, decently big with a nice large car park. The variety is good because of its size and , for those who care, it's also got a halal section as well.
The car park is decently huge with ATMs, petrol station, and even a car wash. What more can you ask for.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adam P.Verenigde Staten012 dec 2023
Rude staff. African securities treating customers without respect and their English is poor as well. The store has no cashiers. That self-checkout system is dissapointing as macnines do not work properly and you have to wait ages for help.

It's mayhem on the weekends. Weekdays are not much better.
Lumbering housewives and clueless pensioners leave havoc in their wake and jam up the cashier lines with their humongous purchases. They really do need more than just 14 self-checkout stands.
Cheap light bulbs, booze and condensed milk in squeeze bottles are the only things that keep me coming back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew V.Washington, DC, Verenigde Staten1731 aug 2014
I don't know why so many reviews say this ASDA is open 24 hours.
It's not open 24 hours I just wasted an hour going there and coming back and it was closed at 5 PM.
Even in the parking lot there's a big sign that says 24 hours. (i'm sure in tiny print it says "except on..."
During the day on weekends it's an absolute madhouse...don't bother going.
Something needs to change if one of the most international cities in the world can't have a store open past 5 PM on a Sunday.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Thalie A.Londen, Verenigd Koninkrijk2013886633 apr 2014
So convenient.
This is the offspring of the U.S. Walmart. It's also opposite my workplace so very good for quick trips before or after work. I'll get right to the good bits:
-24hrs (no, not like Tesco 24hr that closes at midnight or 5pm on Sunday)
-Spacious aisles
-International foods well stocked
-Free Parking
-D3, D6 buses in the parking lot
-DLR opposite
-Friendly & helpful staff
-Self serve checkout AND disabled access checkout aisles (well done)
-£3 lunch meals
-Cafe with hot food and drinks AND places to eat in
-Always well stocked
Only minuses I noticed:
-Bakery goods are hard as rocks right out the oven (similar to Tesco)
-Crazy busy between 9am-5pm (they open early so this is not big deal for me)
-Some patrons mistake it for a creche playground
It's all goodHelpful 46Thanks 0Love this 46Oh no 0 - Yumi K.Richmond, Canada115144916 jun 2011
My first Supermarket to go to in London :-) the staffs were very friendly when I asked where some products were! The USDA brand tasted awesome and relatively cheap!
There are many tesco express around the place, I don't think price is that much different but definitely more expensive.
I'm gonna make USDA my primary supermarket to go to while I'm in London :-)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kylzo L.Melbourne, Australië1510119 feb 2011Eerste reviewer

I wouldn't say it was the best ASDA supermarket I've been to They have the basics what you need and at fairly good prices but lately the service seems to have gone down hill!
Here is one example of a visit where I was less than impressed due to a few problems
On entering the ASDA car park from the Glengall Grove entrance I saw about 6 trolleys laying on their side where people just leave them there. Usually they are cleared away regularly throughout the day. On getting to the store front there were very few trolleys left in the park, and no smaller trolleys.
I walk into the store and there are no baskets. Usually there is somebody greeting you to give you a basket but there is nobody. Therefore, I have to go to the checkouts and try and get one, about 15 other people are trying to do this and it's chaos.
Which now brings me on to the checkouts They were packed. There weren't too many open and each checkout had about 8 people waiting. I always use the self-checkouts so I thought I would be alright because that usually moves a bit faster. WRONG. They now have 8 self checkouts, fantastic!, but, there is only one person authorising any alcohol sales and fixing problems. Thus meaning it took about 5 minutes for somebody to come over and fix the weight problem because the bags were not set up properly.
Anybody that uses these self checkouts will know that if the bags are not put on the holders properly you can't just put an item in them and scan your next, you have to take the bag off, open it and then put it back on. Because the weigh scales are so sensitive to recognise any products that haven't been swiped this causes a problem.
I've had similar experiences to the above almost every time I have gone over there since the new manager. It used to be a great store, but compared to Dagenham and Romford stores this one is most definitely rubbish.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Noah E.St Michael, Verenigde Staten0313 sep 2017
Really big store with a wide variety of products. From household supplies to food and even basic clothes!
