I was so happy to finally find this botanical garden. Apple Maps took us to the wrong place. And even in December the place was fabulous! EVEN with not a lot blooming outdoors this California gardener loved it. There are so many greenhouses to visit. I saw some amazing plants: Camellias, ferns, cacti & succulents, cycads, water plants and so much more. The ONLY reason I'm omitting one star is the gift shop was super tiny and had no t-shirts! I did buy a magnet but would have spent more if there was more merchandise. I also would have bought a book on the garden if they'd had one in English. But if you enjoy botanic gardens, be sure to visit Botanisher Garten München!

Absolutely beautiful greenhouses. My favorite was the greenhouse full of all types of ferns. I've never seen a more beautiful greenhouse or so many types of staghorn ferns in one place! If not for my traveling companion who wasn't really into plants I would have stayed here all day. I visited in the winter, but the outside gardens were still interesting to look at.

Restaurant is placed in undoubtedly most beautiful part of Munich. Surrounded by roses, tulips and quite large magnolias. I have ordered burger classic and coffee - quite a weird combo I know. Coffee was just fine however burger with chips not so much. It's been a MCDonald quality burger for the price of 10,50€. Fries were way to oily and when it comes to sauces - these were packed hellman's mayo and heinz ketchup.
Deserts tho looked really amazing so that might be a better idea for the next time ;-)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James P. B.München, Duitsland019540820 jan 2019
Beautiful gardens during the spring and summer months. Highly recommend stopping by, especially if you are already at the Nymphenburg!

Absolutely stunning. I enjoy botanical gardens, and this one was quite a treat. It occupies a huge space with several themed areas. Of particular note are the various greenhouses. There's something like 4,000 square meters of greenhouse space split into 11 greenhouses as well as a few conservatories to connect them. The aquatic room was my favorite, about 20 aquariums, fairly large, all planted and with various types of fauna inside. I wish I'd had more time to spend, but it was rainy the day I visited and I was lacking an umbrella. It is located off of the streetcar line, and the entrance fee is a mere pittance.

I am a big fan of botanical gardens and this one is no exception. Whilst it's not Kew Gardens, it's still well worth a visit, and is free as far as I remember. There is a large area under glass with various tropical plants, fish, cacti etc. But have a look at my photos and you'll see what it's all about!
