Carl's Fish & Chips

I love fish and chips i have been eating them all me life , I've eaten em from all over the uk and when possible had some in Dubai , Hong kong ., I have and i am serious about this i have never had anything like this places fish and chips this is the best Truly British authentic fish and chips , fresh good portion and the taste is fantastic .

this fish shop is the best i have found so far there chips are a little small in quataty but they have a very distinctive sweet taste that make you go back for more,the staff are very friendly and quick to serve you hand they have a few meal deals on.

Small fish and chip shop located just outside Wednesbury town centre. Has been there for years and years. Very friendly staff and chips, etc are fairly nice.

Last time I bought chips from this shop, I had to queue outside because of the strange way people queue across the door, preventing anyone from standing beside them in the warm. The chips are not as good as they used to be and because they're very soft, they tend to stick to the paper all pulped together like soggy mashed potato. This shop is quite expensive compared to most other chip shops, and the portions are small. What usually costs me £3.70 at my local chip shop, would cost £5.60 at Carl's. Many chip shops do a £2.00 fish and chip special with peas or curry.Thats why it's called a special because it's cheaper. Carls should be cheaper because it's out of town. The chap who works in there is always cheerful and friendly and he always shouts goodbye when you walk out of the shop, even if you haven't interacted with him while you were in the shop, I think this is to compensate for the fact that the two women who usually serve in the shop never say hello or goodbye or show much friendliness towards the customers. I think the attraction for people at Carl's is that the chips are not battered as they seem to be at many other chip shops these days. I've been to this shop on and off for 48 years and it's always been a long winded job with the queueing and one person serving. Don't think I'll be going again.

a busy little chip shop. queus on fridays especially due to quality of food and prices are fine. only criticism is room for people to queue which means you have to queue outside in all weathers.

has always been our local chippy and i must say it's definitely the best. friendly staff which always greet you with a smile and very reasonably priced.
