Q:
Why would the cashiers allow their employees to cut lines? So uncool.
A:
They're probably trying to purchase something to eat real quick for a lunch break. Wouldn't want to stand in a line for half your lunch when you've got to get back to work to unload the next truck to keep the shelves fully stocked.

My family was shown so much kindness today during what could have been an embarrassing experience. We accidentally made a very big mess and instead of receiving any sort of grief over it, we were shown kindness. My young son was able to witness a true gentlemen tonight when Bob showed him how kindness can help anyone in an emotional moment. Sofia and a few other wonderful ladies came to assist. This will be a memory that holds truth for us for years to come.

I know we all (or most of us) love Trader Joe's for the unique products, fresh food and the great wine deals... but today my local TJ's took the word integrity to a new level. Right after getting home from Thailand , I needed my TJ steak tip in Rosemary. Truth is, they were awful and almost to tough to eat. I though.... we'll, one in a thousand isn't so bad. Today I asked the manager if he had any issues with that product and he asked why so I told my tale. He send someone back to the meat and said "on us" . Beyond what any other store would ever do with no pictures or receipts.
Thank you Trader Joe's, you got me for life.Helpful 14Thanks 2Love this 18Oh no 06 apr 2020Vorige reviewAwesome TJ's! The staff here sets it apart and that's saying something because TJ is known for helpful service.
First, the goods. I have fallen in love with the wine selection and white label booze. The Rebel Yell bourbon is a great value and lives up to the reputation of good American bourbon. The vodka is also really good and fairly priced. Wines are far and away the best priced in the area.
But if you ask any of the staff here about a recommendation they not only have an opinion (normally spot on) but they take you to the product. Nice. The check out staff is also friendly and informative with what you buy.
Meats and veggies are good as well. We had ribs last night and they were so big and meaty. Perfect. Snacks are also on point like the sweet potato tortilla chips that we eat all the time.
But the biggest surprise was beer and I'm not a beer guy but like one at the beach. I didn't want to pay $9 for a 6 pack of Modelo and a staff member suggested TJ premier Mexican beer for almost half the price. It was fantastic!!!
Yeah, I'm a fan!!!
So I guess this is an update of sorts. Really a comparison of my experience at Ralph's yesterday and Trader Joe's this morning. No comparison in customer service, knowledge and politeness. TJ was a 10 and Ralph's seemed to care less. TJ was stocked and helpful, Ralph's a mess stick wise.
This morning the manager came out in the rain to calmly explain the new normal. He did it in small groups so we all could hear.
This is a chain that gets it and is out ahead of the curve.
Thank you for that.5 sep 2017Vorige reviewAwesome TJ's! The staff here sets it apart and that's saying something because TJ is known for helpful service.

Don't come here thinking you can open up a brokerage account like Charles Schwab lol.
This place is where you come for food and liquor. They also have a decent health section where I found my hand sanitizer.
Excellent service and it's squeaky clean, a go to spot when you don't want to wait in long lines like at the supermarkets.
Be back soon.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 26 apr 2023
My favorite Trader Joe's located at the heart of Bressi Ranch. The ambiance is clean and as always trademark 10/10 TJ service. It's also situated right by a cute park that's a skip and hop. Get some TJ snacks and have a picnic.

Love this TJs store. Always so friendly and clean. The crew mates are very helpful and knowledgeable. Sometimes on the popular items they are short or run out but just ask and they will help with next shipment or let you know what their stock is. No more samples since Covid but same as so many others. Parking lot can be a big stinker at times but be patient and chill. It will work out

And the samples and coffee are fun as well! But my tip: watch the you tube videos and follow TJ on Instagram! Great tips and what's new and yummy! And the manager was wonderful handling some pita bread that went bad the next day and with no hesitation it was exchanged

Is the Trader Joe's in Bressi Ranch prejudiced against service dogs? A very unfriendly TJ employee (Angela, who would not give her last name) asked me to remove my service dog because of one quick bark (just one sound) because a dog spooked her from behind. And she said because my dog barked it wasn't a service dog. Oh, really? What about service dogs that are trained to bark when something is wrong with the person they are servicing? I explained my dog was a service dog (she didn't have her vest on), but she didn't care. Obviously Angela and managers at this TJs allow harassment (unlawfully) of people with service animals. Maybe it's because they don't like dogs. Maybe it's because they don't understand California laws - service animals don't have to have their vest or paperwork on them, and you don't have to explain what disability they are helping you with. In fact, those laws were put in place so businesses couldn't discriminate against people with service animals. Or maybe it's because this Trader Joe's is so busy and crowded most the time that they feel they can toss people on a whim.
By the way, one of the managers here said the reasons Trader Joes asks a service dog and owner to leave is if they go to the bathroom inside the store, or if they're smelling all the merchandise. My dog was doing neither. They're trained not to do these things. What the manager didn't say, was that they can't bark.
Study up Angela and Trader Joes. I put some important points below regarding service dogs in California businesses:
A person with a disability can be asked to remove his or her service animal from the premises if the animal is out of control and the animal's handler does not take effective action to control it, or if the animal is not housebroken.
The individual cannot be asked about his or her disability. The individual cannot also be asked to show proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal. Additionally, service animals must not be required to demonstrate the tasks they perform.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rosalind M.Encinitas, Verenigde Staten017 sep 2023

My husband and I shopped at the Carlsbad store on the 17th of December . We bought about ten items . We were not greeted by the person at the register, no smile , no hello, just a tall skinny older bald rude guy ! He did ask me if I wanted a bag , I said (yes) . And then he said (yes thank you) what a jerk ! Last time shopping at this location for us . Rude ! Rude ! Rude !

Friday mornings around 10 o'clock is the best time to shop at this location and I don't like to shop anyway. Fully stocked store, not a big crowd, the prices are always right and if you are shopping here for years, it's a breeze.
Some stuff you have to buy at Stater Bros (which I'm always doing at the same trip), so Trader Joe's is just to finish up the shopping. The employees are always very helpful, cheerful all the way to the cashiers and even packing your bags (if you need help - they will take out your cart all the way to your car). One thing could be better - it's a small parking lot, could be really busy at the lunch time, so again - come in the morning.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0
